The
University of the Virgin Islands also known as UVI,
holds as its mission to provide a
comprehensive, multi-disciplinary educational experience that will not
only add value to individual lives, but also produce leaders who will find
international solutions to regional issues. The
University of the Virgin Islands was chartered in 1962 as the College of
the Virgin Islands, a publicly funded, co-educational, liberal arts
college. Its first campus was established in 1964. The University began by
offering AA degrees, but in 1967 added a four-year BA programs in liberal
arts and education.
So when you are about to send in those college applications, just remember that out there in the Caribbean sea, there is a University that can provide you with a quality education while you still enjoy the rays of the Caribbean sun.
