There are many reasons for creating stories, stories that speak of desires or sometimes express  joy and sometimes pain.  This page will give you the stories of people represented by characters who are strangers in a foreign land.  These stories maybe comical, romantic or tragic but they all stem from a need or better yet a longing...

Interlude

I know you’ve been dying to laugh at my peculiar situations with women since I introduced myself about a few weeks ago. Fortunately I hope you, dear readers show sympathy along with the ridicule I’m sure to receive from you. My disparity of love from the opposite sex may seem comical at times, but some times the loneliness can be overwhelming. Like the time when your room mate left for Thanksgiving break your freshman year, or those frequent weekend visits to family, that left the cafeteria desolate on Saturdays. They’re all too familiar to those of us who leave places like Anna's Retreat, Estate Thomas, Peter’s Rest, Gallows Bay and even Cruz Bay. I spent many of these “nostalgia-crazed” weekends writing poetry. I would like to share this none with you, it is called Interlude:

Not to be mistaken with the needed intermission after applauds for a Broadway hit has been exhausted

That is the interlude that brings forth revelation and appreciation, and in sense a time to unwind

The intermission of which I speak does afford me revelation, an awakening to solitude, an appreciation of the home I took for granted

When these breaks arrive, it is as if I was stricken with the malady of broken ties and lost friendships

But in about a day or two the break will be over and my ailment will show no symptom only to resurface upon arrival of the next interlude

I write a lot. Oh, you didn’t think a “Rock” man could exhibit some sort of depth, anyway back to the matter at hand. She was about five feet….
