The majority of your wedding preparation can take place before arriving on the island.  You can apply for your wedding license by contacting the Territorial Court of the U.S. Virgin Island.  The cost is only $50 and there are no blood test or residency restrictions.

After the completed and notarized application is received in the islands, there is a required eight-day waiting period.  If either party is divorced, he or she must have a certified copy of the divorce decree or a notarized affidavit stating when the divorce was granted.  In addition, please specify whether the marriage will be performed by a judge in the court or by a clergy member.  If you wish to get married in the court you must make an appointment.  Appointment for court marriages can e made on ST. Thomas, Monday through Friday, and on St. Croix, Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays, by calling the appropriate Territorial court.
